They are designed for the health environment and are scratch, rub and water resistant. They withstand normal hydrolisys tolerances for the health environment.
In Australia the humidity is high can negatively effect upholstery if left damp, if left closed up, and if oil is left on the table surface. Always follow the upholstery care instructions provided with your table.
For therapists who like to use oil, – especially lomi or huna therapists, it is paramount that your protect your table with oil-proof covers. You can purchase fitted upholstered covers or fitted protective sheets to give sufficient slip but protect your table for oil damage.
